How to Protect iPhone Against Apps

Apple is renowned for setting high standards in privacy of its users and data security However, iPhones aren’t immune to hackers. Criminals can take sensitive information by stealing data from iPhone apps that collect the data on a regular bases. This includes browsing history, passwords, images, and current location.

The most basic way to guard your iPhone against malware is by ensuring that you use a secure passcode- one that you can actually remember and don’t note down anywhere (you should be doing this anyway). Another option is to turn off the ability to show notification content on the lock screen that will stop strangers from gaining personal information without unlocking your phone.

If you’re looking to take it one step further, make sure you’re using the Screen Time passcode feature that allows you to set up an alphanumeric password that you have created, or at the very least, block access to the four-digit numeric code which makes it more difficult for a burglar to brute-force your passcode until they get the right. You can also enable the function to erase all information from your iPhone after 10 unsuccessful passcode attempts. This will render your iPhone unusable to thieves, but it will remain inaccessible to you if aren’t able to access iCloud photos and other content.

Consider installing a reputable mobile security app, such as Clario. It can warn you of malicious websites, protect your identity from theft on Instagram and other social networks blocking annoying ads and potentially dangerous ones, boost your privacy by using the VPN and much more.
